Rock Band

Brandon and Baby Jonas, and their cool hats.

Brandon bought this hat Saturday. I totally made fun of it. Jonas, Livvy, and Callie all came over with their parents to play and have dinner. When I saw Jonas had a hat like Brandon I had to like Brandons hat, because Jonas looked so dang cute in his. If Jonas is wearing it, it must be cool :)

Christmas morning

Santa left us a letter too, after he ate all his snacks.
Thanks for the cookies and eggnog, it was a good change from all that milk. The reindeer liked the carrots. I hope you enjoy your gifts. Continue to be good in all you do.
I love you,
Santa Clause

Cookies for Santa.........

The girls left some of the yummy sugar cookies for Santa and carrotts for the reindeer. The letter Mckenzie wrote says............
Merry Christmas
Dear Santa I hope you enjoy your cookies and the carrotts for your reindeer and the egg nog instead of milk! P.S. the egg nog is in the fridge in a santa, christmas tee, holly, candy cane, gift, snow flakes, snowman, and a stocking mug! How is Mrs. Clause!
MERRY CHRISTMAS
LOVE THE BEST,
THE DORNEYS

I wasn't dreaming of a white christmas............

But since mother nature doesn't really care what I think. This is what we woke up to Christmas morning. A foot and a half, and many feet of snow drifts. The wind blew like crazy. But we still had a fabulous Christmas. We stayed home in our new Christmas jamis all day. We did finally venture out to see a movie or 2. Santa was good to us and we played all day. It was great.

Christmas Eve

frosting sugar cookies........

Nick, Chris, and the girls came over for Christmas Eve. We had a turkey dinner, played some pool, and Chris made sugar cookies for the girls to frost. They had so much fun frosting them. We had a fun night.

Our little snow angel

Mckenzie was so excited tonight. She wanted so badly to shovel the driveway and walkway. Brandon was out of town until late, so she got to shovel all by herself. She normally does not like the snow. Not only does she look like her mom, but she does not like to be cold like her mom. But tonight I could not get her to come in. She shoveled the whole driveway and walkway by herself. Megan and I were inside eating dinner....way to go kenzi

Christmas with Gerbers........

We had lunch with Gerbers on Saturday, since they are too busy for us we had to do lunch. Tayah gave Mckenzie a cute picture of the 2 of them, it was in a frame that said Sisters. Jodi told Tayah Megan might get jealous (oh please Jodi). Tayah didn't care she told Jodi they were like sisters. Can't you see the family resemblance? When we were ordering our food Dave told the waitress how to divide the tickets. Him and Jodi and the 2 "brown" kids. Tevita said well she sure doesn't dance like she is brown. I guess you had to be there because it was so very funny. I wasn't sure the waitress was going to be able taking our order, she was laughing so hard. Tayah you and Mckenzie can be sisters, because she dances like a white girl. Meg can hang out with your cute stinky brother.

Lights at Temple Square

Sunday, December 7, 2008

Ok so I think it is kind of cheesy when people put things they have bought on their blogs. So I am being cheesy today. My friend Karen and I went to Los Angeles yesterday. We usually go to New York. But we found a new hot spot to buy purses. Believe it or not, it is much closer too. We had a great time. We left at 8:30 Saturday morning and we got back Saturday night at 7:30. I made a slide of the purses. Char had to pick hers out for Christmas because she is so so picky. I want to keep them all, but like Karen told one of they guys we were buying purses from that I didn't need the one I wanted......We had a great time. Thanks Karen for going with me.

Honor Roll.....

Megan made the Honor roll this semester. Way to go Meg. She got a 4.0. We are so proud of her. she worked very hard to get good grades. Mckenzie would of been on the Honor roll too, if they did that in 4th grade. She got 3 4's which would be an "A" and 1 3 a "B". Way to go girls we are very proud of you and the hard work that you put into school.

The Many things I am Thankful for

I can't believe we are getting to the end of 2008 already. Wow time flies when you get old. As I have been thinking about Thanksgiving I have asked myself "What am I Thankful for?" Maybe I have never really thought about that question. I am getting older and maybe a little more sentimental. So to answer that question. I am thankful for my family. My girls that are so cute and love me no matter how grumpy I get. They are both healthy and happy. They are also best friends. My husband who loves me no matter what. He is not afraid to put me in my place, when needed. He is a hard worker and takes very good care of us. He is funny, but serious when he needs to be. I am thankful for my parents who raised me to know who I am and not wish I was someone else and to like myself and enjoy life. I am thankful for my in laws that raised such a wonderful son. He is who he is today because of them and I am thankful for that. I am thankful for my sisters. They are fun to be with and talk to even after the 50th phone call in one day. My brother and sister in laws are the best too. I enjoy the times we get to spend together, and the lessons I have learned from everyone of them. The many friends I have. They are always there to offer a lending hand. They make me laugh and cry. They are still my friends when they see my "other side". My job I have that allows me to do the fun and crazy things it allows me to do. The many material things I have. My home (have I mentioned lately I love my house) My car that is dependable. Music, I love to hear Brandon and the girls "rocking out" I catch myself laughing all by myself. Tinker is my little shadow I am never alone. I am sure there are many other things. But most of all I am thankful for the Savior and what he has done for me. My family and friends, and my health. If you are reading this, know that you are a someone that I can call a friend and I love you all.
Remember the things you have that other don't and be Thankful this Holiday Season!!!!

Mckenzie and I went to California this last weekend. Megan was supposed to go too. She wanted to go see Twilight with Haley. She changed her mind at the last minute. She decided to stay home with Brandon and watch the Utes beat BYU. So I saw the movie and Mckenzie saw Bolt. My dad took the 2 boys and Mckenzie to see Bolt. She was so excited to go with Grandpa and be the "ONLY" girl. She is so funny. We also got to go to a friends Baby Baptism in Sacramento. We had so much fun. It is always fun to see friends you haven't seen in forever. They are really more like family, but we had so much fun.

Ok so I went to Napa to go Christmas shopping with Char. we had the day all planned. We knew what stores we were going to, where we were eating. We only made it to Ikea. We bought Haley new bedding and were so excited to see it. We skipped shopping to get home to put her room together before she got home from dance. We bought the cute lantern. It was an eye sorer. So we decided to decorate it. But guess what Napa "DOES" not have any craft stores. So we had the pleasure of going to Walmart to their craft aisle. This was what they had, and it turned out so cute. It still needs paint, so I will have to make another trip, unless the Kortz family will share their maid with the Ericksons.

Breakfast at Gilwoods in Napa, with my sister, mom and my "favorite" aunt Shirley. It was so very yummy.....
