In 4th grade the kids study Utah History. Their program was last week. It was the cutest thing. Mckenzie had a speaking part. I was a little late getting the camera started. I didn't get "Utah has an area of" the rest is on the video. It was a great program. They sang the best songs. I learned a lot about Utah. If you have any questions about "UTAH" Mckenzie is your girl.

Way to go Mckenzie!!
Both girls had tournaments this weekend,of course they were at opposite ends of the Vally. I went with Mckenzie and Brandon of course went with Meg. Both teams came in 3rd place. That is a great accomplishment for Mckenzies team, not so much Megans. They both played great! Friday Megan played 4 games and 3 on Saturday. Mckenzie played 2 Thursday, Friday got rained out. Saturday they played 6 games. She pitched 3 1/2 of them, and did a great job. She dug down deep and got the job done. We have never been to a tournament where 3rd place got a trophy. But the girls were excited to get one. This is her first. Yeah Bullets!!

King of Pop
The news of Michael Jackson dying yesterday got me thinking. Wow what an Icon. I remember when I was in Young Womens we did a "Beat It" video. It was so gun. I will admit it was not as cool as his. There was a bunch of "white" girls dancing. Needles to say we didn't move like he did. It also made me think about my mom. We always sang the song to her. Remember her real name "Billie Jean" I know some of you might say "WHO" names their daughter that. Well my Grandparents did, and she hated it hence the name Jeannie. Last night Brandon and I were watching the news and he asked if I thought my mom would meet Micheal. I said yeah I bet she was their with open arms to greet him, and have a conversation about "HER" song. I laid there and giggled thinking yeah right. Today I was talking to my sister and admitted the conversation I had with Brandon last night, she started laughing and admited she had the same thoughts. Growing up we loved his music and thought he was cool. I thought I was cool having a "THRILLER" record. Thought it would be fun to post the video for my mom. Enjoy!!

Fathers Day
I decided at the last minute to fly out to Sacramentofor Fathers Day. I left Sunday morning at 11:00 and was back home Monday morning at 8:30. My dad and Char were going to Sacramento to have dinner with Mo and Kate and their families. I invited myself, and we had a great time. It was a quick visit, but very fun. It was good to spend Fathers Day with my dad. Not sure when the last time I did that was.
